"Who, Me?"

"Who, Me?"

Yes, you! You have been called to be a part in reaching the world with the Gospel. God wants YOU to be a part of actively reaching those who have never heard, and if you are willing He will use you to reach the world with the Gospel. “But I am not called,” you might say. But what does the Bible say about that?

Matthew 28:19–20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

As my family and I were in a missions conference in Indiana, a little girl maybe 6 years old came up and handed me 2 dollars and said, “I would like you to use this to share about Jesus with people over there”, and then pointed to a map of the Balkans. How humbling to see that a little child can understand that she can be a part in reaching lost souls with the good news while we try to rationalize why we “cannot” do more for the sake of the Gospel.

Your testimony MATTERS! God made you unique, and the way He saved you and your life is unique, and God wants to use that to reach others as well. The little maid in II Kings 5 did not have power or position, but what she did have was the knowledge that her God could save! We not only have that knowledge, but if you have trusted in Christ as your Savior, you have experienced that Salvation. What better than that to share with others?

Jesus in John 6:5-13 uses the lunch of a lad, a child, to provide for the the physical needs of 5000 people. Don’t underestimate what God can do with your life, testimony, and giving.

Also, another way you can be a part of reaching the world with the Gospel is by prayer. Anyone and everyone should be involved in this one, yet we can go days without praying for what Christ told us to ask God for…..Laborers. Our family met a man in Tennessee who told me, “I have prayed everyday for your parents before they ever left for Brazil as missionaries and for you by name everyday of your life. And now I will pray for you, your wife and daughters everyday as you go to Albania.” Wow, how humbling, and what a testimony for someone who desires for others to know the Gospel. May we pray this way for more laborers around the world.

None of us can do everything, but all of us can and should be doing something for the furtherance of the Gospel. Do not let the lie of Satan that you are too small, too old, too bashful, too unexperienced, too poor, too debilitated, to be a part of reaching those who have not heard. May we have the heart that the apostles had.

Acts 4:20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
